Best hop up bucking??

Postby xTw0HiLL » Tue Mar 06, 2012 10:56 am

Im getting a tightbore for my beta project ak and i figured i might as well get a new hopup bucking too. The guns pushing around 415 fps but i have no clue what hopup bucking to choose. What would be the best for my gun?? (I heard the KWA buckings are very good)

Systema Bucking with PCS nub. Nice and cheap combination that will improve your hop set up.

Systema Bucking is $8 and the PCS nub is $6.99

You could also try the G&G Green buckings, they are solid buckings too.

Actually, I have heard that soft type buckings are better overall, but will wear down faster in higher velocity setups. This is also supported by the limited testing I did before I installed an R-hop in my rifles.

Firefly are NOT the best. Prometheus are better. V-hop is useless. Firefly perpetuates the "more $ = better" train of thought, when in reality, "you are paying $25 for a piece of rubber cast to lower tolerances than a condom". - HS5

Moundless bucking with a pre-R-hopped barrel from clandestine would be the "best".

I don't think so. I thought about getting a batch of a few hundred molded and selling them, but I don't think it would be practical. Most people just cut the locking bar and mound out of a bucking and turn it 90 degrees.
