How 'bout some love for the oldies?

Postby ShadeAssault on Thu Oct 22, 2009 1:59 pm

Hey, not that I know anything about the airsoft versions (I only own a KWA M93RII (Old Edition) and an Echo1 Task Force Black MP5A4), but I feel that older weapons and 'exotics' are being left out in this area. Anyone got anything to say about the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle), Mauser Karabiner 98kurz, and weapons of this sort? (Any company will do, I figure Marushin isn't the only maker of the M1 Garand and the M1 Carbine.)

Also, I would like to add to this a question. Is it still possible to obtain a VegaForceCompany Browning Automatic Rifle? I would prefer not to buy from eBay/Amazon or any other sites like that. I've done quite a bit of looking around and every site says "Out of Stock", such as ASGI, Kapowwe, AirsoftAtlanta, Evike. The only conclusion that I can think of for this is that the VFC BAR is either 1.) A special order, or 2.) Was a limited release. Kudos to anyone who can give me some information.

Evike has them, yes it is a limited edition gun, almost none made.

Thank you, thank you. I am a bit of what you might call a World War II weapon fanatic, so as I start to collect airsoft versions of these weapons I will post reviews.

Alot of the WWII guns that you probably haven't heard of are made by obscure companies who went out of business and their guns sell for well over $1000 and aare strictly collector's items...

I think it was Smokey's who made a Mosin Nagant, but they went out of business just recently. It sells for like $1500  Asahi made a Browning M1921 (BAR), MG34, and an MG42, but they're also up in the 1Ks and above. There's another company that made a Springfield M1903 and a Mauser Kar98, but I can't remember their name.
Selling:
TM FAMAS w/ extras $120
Condor MOLLE gear (tan), $35 for vest, $50 for vest + extras

If you don't buy this stuff, I'll have to sell your family instead.
