Not mine, but I found this guide to paint your gun multicam. It looks AWESOME and I really want to try it. :D

Depends on the finish you want. You need to start with something rough like 50 or 80 grit, maybe 100 if the paint is thin. From there you just use progressively finer grits (higher numbers) until it comes out like you want it. I find it's easiest to do all the strokes with one grit in one direction and then the next grain in a different direction so you can tell when you have gotten all the scratches from the higher grain out.
I wish I had more time to devote to airsoft...

Okay so... I just started on my gun (M24) with a main coat of tan. I was just trying to figure out what to stencil on the gun. Either stripes of green and brown or stencils of a palm branch. What should I do?

To be honest, I wouldnt use a stencil, you dont want sharp lines on camoflague, you want it to kind of fade in and out, I would just stripe it free hand if you're good enough, and the palm branches sound good but I would also use some other type of leave or grass or use all of them, to make the ultimate gun camo.

Hold the stencil above the object being painted a few inches and spray it. That will fade it in/out a bit, and soften everything up.

"High Contrast" paint theme.
I think it came out really well, and it's held up really well too. this was done about 4 years ago. Just some cheap Krylon high gloss white and flat black. no primer.

I'm thinking of painting my Glock like this. except that would have to be Duracoat, and lacking the equipment, duracoating will be expensive.

Curious, anyone use Duracoat?
