The Best Camo?

Postby Renengan on Wed May 25, 2011 10:04 pm

I've been trying to convince my team leader to change the team uniform from Desert Digital to something like Russian Flora or multicam, but he says that "We live in a desert so we need desert camo". This is true, but the desert that we live in is mostly made up of desert shrubs and trees, not sand or rocks... So I honestly think a camo that incorporates more green than brown (but, still keep a little brown) would be more effective... What's your opinions?

Multicam would be perfect. It has a great balance between green and brown.

Flora would be awesome, but I've heard it is expensive. You're meaning Russian Flora right?

Flora sucks In any desert environment. Multicam is great. Flora is a really dark camo and In the Arizona heat it gets really hot. Also trying to find legit Russian gear is pretty hard. You have to get it imported from overseas. My flora came from the Ukraine.

I know this because my team does a spetsnaz impression. I know you from AA, I'm MLA PRO.

I am hot just looking at that terrain....I am a forest kind of guy...
Anyways, multicam looks like it will work really well there.
Kind of back on the forum. I will occasionally post when I have nothing to do. Still will respond to pm's as normal if I home and paying attention.

Best regards, the new and improved Silversage/Silverherb/Silverware/etc etc.

Dont know how much shipping is though. :?
But yes, flora does not fit desert/sandy enviroment well, but it costs around half of the price of good quality multicam BDU.

Are you taking cover from a sniper at 1000 yards, or playing airsoft within 200 ft of each other? If playing airsoft, any camo can work, really.

It really depends if you are going to properly use that camo though.
