Hey guys, I am back once again. This time with a nice overview of the ICS Sig 552.
When you pick up the ICS Sig 552 the first thing you notice is the weight. The ICS Sig 552 is mostly metal, with polymer in all the right places. The other thing you notice is the remarking similarities to the AR 15 and strangely enough the AK 47. The ICS Sig 552 comes with a railed hand guard allowing you to mount a vertical grip, lights and other aiming devices. When you move onto the magazine it almost feels and looks like an AR 15 and AK hybrid. The magazine latches into the gun much like a AK but it is a lot smoother to insert and remove from the magazine well. The magazine itself resembles a AR magazine in shape. One of the great features of this Sig 552 is the stock. The Sig 552 features a short full stock with side folding capabilities. The stock doesn’t feel nearly as cumbersome as say a AK 47 or AR 15 full stock but still gives you good control over the rifle. The replica bolt is also a improvement over the AR 15 and AK design. It features a right side charging handle much like the AK. It also incorporates a bolt release on the left side of the gun. The ICS Sig 552 has a great spring behind its bolt and should impress anybody looking for a realistic Airsoft gun.
The gun as a whole feels a lot like a AR 15 in its design but has very distinct advantages over the AR 15 platform. From the stock railed hand guard to the folding stock the Sig 552 is a great platform for CQB. Truly the only disadvantage of the Sig 552 is the lack of a railed system for optics, so you will be stuck with iron sights for now.
